Most FAQs about senior portraits at Pat's Studio!

1.      What is the session fee at Pat's Studio? Our standard senior portrait session includes up to 3 outfits, with portraits taken indoors and outside.  This session lasts one hour.  The cost is $75.  We also offer a Super Session which includes a 2 hour session and up to 8 outfits for $125.  You can upgrade your session to include on-location images (including the oceanfront!) and additional outfits.

2.      How many scenes will I get to choose from? In addition to our large indoor studio where we can photograph you on many different backgrounds, Pat's Studio has a 2-acre outdoor park with dozens of possibilites. A standard session normally includes anywhere between 6 and 10 scenes depending on your preferences. We always have our seniors come in for a consultation prior to their session to discuss which scenes they want to be photographed in. We want your session to be all about you and your choices!

3.      Can I bring my car, my dog, my boyfriend, etc. to my portrait? You can bring any of those things with you to your session and we will photograph a few images of you with each.

4.      How will I view the images from my senior session? Approximately one week after your session, your images will be available for viewing on the internet.  We believe this way of presenting your images allows you more time to make your decision and you can show off all of your images to your friends to help in the decision making process. If you would prefer to view your images at the studio by projection, we provide that option as well.

5.      How many seniors are photographed at the same time at Pat's Studio? Pat's has one photographer and each senior is scheduled for one hour (or more if your session is an upgraded session). No other sessions will be scheduled at the same time as yours. Make sure that the images that you see adverstised for a photography studio were actually taken by the same photographer that is photographing your session. Check out our website or look for our postcards that we mail throughout the year, all of these feature recent photographs created by Pat, our only senior photographer.

6.      Should I worry about blemishes in my portrait? No! All portraits that are ordered from your proofs will be retouched. The prices on our price sheet include standard retouching including removing blemishes, stray hairs and glass glare.

7.      Shouldn't I just go to the school photographer? Wouldn't it be easier? We hear horror stories every year about the school photographer and the quality of their images. The school photographer may photograph hundreds of students each day. At Pat's Studio, you will get high quality portraiture and high quality service throughout the entire process. We don't schedule more than 5 senior portraits each day! Most schools will also allow outside studios to print the yearbook print to submit to the school. So don't treat your senior portrait like any other school picture! Isn't this the one year that you deserve to be more than just a number and to look your absolute best?

8.      Why does Pat's Studio do a consultation? Can't I just show up for my portrait? During a consultation, we will give you a tour of our studio and show you many different images from other senior sessions. We will discuss what would make your session unique. We don't want your session to be just like everyone elses. The better we get to know you, the better your session will be. We will also discuss what outfits you should wear to make sure that your portraits look their very best. And we'll go over our price sheet with you in detail so that you understand how our packages work and how you can get exactly what you want for the best price.
